Valeria was a cool relaxed spot. It is nicer and more crowded in the summer time, which we were catching the very tail end of, but it was already a bit windy and cold so we couldn't go in the water. Still it was nice to sit on the beach, sip Mate and relax, and spend a vacation together. Easter weekend is a very popular time to travel in Argentina, and so many middle to upper class families from Buenos Aires can be found along the Atlantic coast in the numerous resort towns that dot this area. In fact, many of these families own second homes here, which caused me to make Hamptons-New York City analogies and associations in my head throughout the weekend. At nights we would cook dinner or walk into town, and we also checked out the surrounding areas of Pinamar and Cariló. On Sunday we caught a bus that got us back into BsAs in the evening so they could all get to work the next day.
