| Jun 13, 2006 - Welcome Back! See You Later!
| One last quote from an email. I was home in New York for such a short time, and then was off again to work for 10 weeks in the Dominican Republic. The title of this entry i the way I felt when seeing most of my friends and family:
"Well, since I created this email list and have been bombarding you guys with updates for the past 8 months, I figured I might as well keep it going through the summer. As most of you know, I got back from South America on May 25th and have been bumming around New York City and Scarsdale ever since. Soon after I got back a friend of mine from Argentina actually came through New York en route to Orlando, so I got to continue the backpacking tourist life for a bit right here in NYC while showing her around. Now, in addition to being able to finally enjoy some NBA games and a newfound passsion for soccer and the World Cup, not to mention our FIRST PLACE Mets (I was at the 13 inning 1-0 game!), I have been gearing up to get going again. This time, for actual work! Friday morning I head out to Newport, PA for orientation with all the other VISIONS staffers from every different program site. Soon after that I head down to the Dominican Repblic with my co-workers, where I will be until the end of August. And I now know exactly where I will be this summer. We are living in Sabana Perdida, a suburb outside of Santo Domingo, in a town called El Milloncito. And for all the millions of letters you are going to be writing me, my address there is:
Adam Liebowitz
VISIONS
Escuela Melvin Jones
Calle Tercera No. 45
El Milloncito, Sabana Perdida
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic
I'm not sure exactly what day I get down there, but it should be around June 20th. Then the first wave of kids are there from June 28 - July 26. I have a few days break after that, and then the second round of kids come for another 3 weeks.
You can get some more info about the program at:

I hope you all are doing well. Have a great summer everyone, and I'll see you in the fall!
