| Jan 11, 2006 - Pucon, Chile (revisited)
| | I arrived back into Pucon around mid-day on Wednesday, and met up with the boys at a hostel. It tuns out there was to be one more of us. John, Carmin's friend from college had also recently arrived in South America and was joining us for the Patagonia stretch. I hadn't known, but what a great addition. The day was again pretty laid back and filled with nothing. Some of us went out for a short hike, but as I was sick and my leg was severely hurting I decided to just rest in the hostel, and walk around town a bit. At night we graced the hostel with the savory aroma of our amazing cooking. See, Tanner, Dan and Brian all work as cooks back home, and I know a thing or two as well. So over the next month we would continue to get better, and impress and amaze ourselves and anyone within nose-shot (y'know, like ear shot) with our creations. This one was simple, pasta with a homeade sausage meat sauce, but damn was it good. Rather than stick around and explore Pucon we decided to move on the next day and get to the real heart of Patagonia, since we were so delayed with the start of it all. Therefore, the next morning, bright and early, we started our jaunt to cross the border back into Argentina. |
